Thanks @cybercoder for the great time-saving tip. I remember jumping through hoops years ago in an office environment trying to create a PDF document for a co-worker. We’ve made light-years of progress since then.

If you haven’t tried Google Docs yet, it’s a great easy way to save and share your documents online.

WordPress 3.0 Beta

I’m pretty excited about the WordPress 3.0 Beta that was just announced a few days ago.

We’re going to see some important improvements in this new version, which will push WordPress even further along as the leading CMS tool on the web.

The WordPress Blog has posted about some of the biggest changes in the 3.0 Beta, listed here:

Google Buzz

WordPress Update

I just updated this blog to the latest version of WordPress. I sure got tired of seeing the “nagline” at the top of the screen. Guess it was overdue, since it was still using version 2.3.3 WordPress was really having a hard time with video too; even YouTube videos wouldn’t render properly, with or without the tags. In the past I would sometimes have to delete ‘em completely and just use the embed code with the and tags, but even that didn’t work anymore.

So…the turning point came last weekend after a post with an embedded video link to nbc.com. After I used the embed code to the John McCain video, the post published OK, but then Firefox wouldn’t render the page correctly. It pushed the entire sidebar down to the bottom of the page, which just ruined the page formatting. Funny thing, the page rendered OK in IE and Safari, but not in Firefox. (Yes I’m using the latest versions of all 3 browsers.) The real fix came after deleting the embedded video and just linking to it instead. DailyRover.com is back to normal.

But I like using Firefox, so this bothered the heck outta me. Until today, when I got some much needed WordPress help from CyberCoder. He showed me how to update to the latest version of WordPress, which wasn’t that hard after all. He’s got some great ideas posted on his latest sites the-niche-doctor.com and cybercoded.net.

There’s a new Blog Meme posted at Blog The Internet by Garry Conn. I found it via CyberCoder’s post on Ramble On.

I’ve never seen a search engine Guest Book before, but there’s something new every day now, isn’t there? The whole idea is to see how many results we can get on the SignTheGoogleGuestBook SERP.

I’d like to give a big Thanks to CyberCoder for helping me update the DailyRover. As my personal blog, it needed a few changes, and you were able to step right in, see what needed updates, and run with it.

It may seem obvious, but it’s so true. Focus on your strengths as a team and you’ll be more efficient. That sure works for me.

Yes, we finally moved over to Word Press from Blogger. It took some doing to import all our content, but as usual CyberCoder worked his online magic and “got ‘er done!”
