Happy Holidays from Enzo

Hello, 2009!

Happy 2009, everyone! Thanks so much for all your well wishes over the holidays. December flew by and it’s hard to believe that we’re already a week into January 2009! I’ve taken a bit of extra time off over the holidays but I have lots of posts and projects planned for the months ahead. Starting next Monday, you will also see the return of Magazine Mondays (with a little surprise). I’d like to thank my dear friend Wandering Coyote of the blog ReTorte who stepped up and hosted Magazine Mond

Atlast, Christmas has ended!

Whew! I grew tired of 2008’s Christmas vacation. It is because Ive spent so much money on buying gifts and vices. Now it is time for me to save what I should save, my money and my soon to be career that I don’t know yet. Anyway, since the vacation has ended and holidays seems holidays are not yet around, what I should be doing now is concentrate on the upcoming midterm examinations. I think I need to get my grades up again because during the last half of this semester, that was last year, I had

PETA Bristol Palin Baby Gift Basket

People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals, advocates for all things furry, feathered, or four-legged, have presented teen mom Bristol Palin with a baby gift basket for her infant son, Tripp. The 18-year-old daughter of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and her “redneck” companion Levi welcomed the birth of son Tripp over the holidays. The animal rights group says since Tripp’s “grandparents never met an animal they didn’t like — to eat or shoot” — they opted to present Mom & Son with a few sma

Gluten Free Stuffing never tasted so good!

Stuffing, the one dish I really looked forward to every year around the holidays, that and gravy.  Two things one doesn’t make very often, both are a bit rich and fattening, thus why we only make them once or twice a year.  Every since I found out I had Celiac, almost 3 years ago now, I have been dissatisfied will any and all stuffing attempts.  Until now. Thanks to a post from Karina way back when I was a newbie, I started using gluten free frozen waffles to make bread crumbs, those and any

Review: Arrange Your Vacation

Arranging my own holidays is fun when I get to choose my preferred accommodation. Here, Arrange Your Vacation comes into place. I like the neat sections where Latest Rentals and Featured Rentals are placed prominently so that I can just click and check out the best prices. What’s even better is that RSS is available so that I don’t have to check the site everyday. I can just read from my RSS Reader and be updated when there are new rental rates being updated. The blog gives out tips on renting

The bestest Christmas ever!

Happy 2009!  How were your holidays? I had just over a week off during which I experienced intermittent bouts of insanity when I thought I could totally stay home full-time.  Knit on the couch while Arlo has his nap?  Not bothering to get dressed ‘til noon?  It’s heaven, no?  Of course, my sanity was restored remembering that I have inhabited this “heaven” twice before on maternity leave and that the novelty wears off.  When I’m home only sometimes I appreciate it so much more.  And there ar

Decapitation Doesn’t Stop Boy From Getting Ahead

Here’s a story I saw over the holidays, it really kept things in perspective for me: A 9-year-old Texas boy has almost fully recovered after suffering an orthopedic decapitation in a car accident 3 months ago, CBSNews.com reported Monday. Jordan Taylor had a 1-2 percent chance of surviving this type of injury, which occurred when his skull separated from his neck. His spinal cord remained intact, however. Perez was driving when a dump truck plowed into her car after running a stop sign, au

Relationship Obituaries: Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ross McCall

The couple that wears silly hats together, does not stay together The Engagement of Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ross McCall has passed away, reports People. The relationship was two years old. “They broke up over the holidays and have ended their engagement,” says a source close to the couple. “They’re both really sad about this. Even their friends are surprised; they seemed really happy. Everyone just wants the best for both of them.” No word on whether they tried using a Ghost Whisperer to br
