A Note about Vote
It felt good to vote today. We’ve been tuned into CNN, MSNBC and FoxNews for the past two days soaking in the election polls and listening to the pundits trying to forecast our political future.
We left the house right after eight this morning trying to beat the crowds we had been seeing on the TV. [...]
John McCain on Saturday Night Live
It was great to see John McCain team up with Tina Fey on Saturday Night Live. Their opening skit was priceless. I wonder if Tina was nervous doing her Sarah Palin character alongside Senator John McCain? You sure couldn’t tell, as they pitched their home shopping products from the QVC channel.
McCain even [...]
Scholars unpack the secrets of charisma, and suggest the elusive quality can be taught
By Mark Oppenheimer EVEN DIEHARD REPUBLICANS can’t deny that Barack Obama is the more charismatic candidate for president this year. He has shown unprecedented power to raise money and to draw crowds - from Oregon to Pennsylvania, tens of thousands have turned out to hear Obama speak. Can one imagine John McCain trying to fill a football stadium for his nomination acceptance speech, as Obama plans to do in Denver next month? Obama’s crowds during the primary season were not only the biggest of
27 million dollar lawsuite against the New York Times...
Lobbyist Sues N.Y. Times, Saying It Falsely Alleged Affair With McCain-"A Washington lobbyist filed a $27 million defamation lawsuit against the New York Times yesterday, accusing the newspaper of falsely intimating that she had a romantic relationship with Sen. John McCain and used it to benefit her clients. The lawsuit by Vicki L. Iseman, filed in U.S. District Court in Richmond, focuses on a 3,000-word article the paper published Feb. 21 as the senator from Arizona was leading the race for th
Just because a news article was titled: US supports death of ....
I saw a title of a news article that said the US supports the death of some person in another country. This article obviously confused George Bush with the US people. This article complelled me to make it known that I do not in anyway support: the death penalty, the deaths of civilians, cheering for the death of anyone, the belief that someone should be killed, my money supporting the death penalty. Oh, yeah. If John McCain gets elected I am moving to another country or Californi
My problem with Jewish elite status: Howard Fineman says that McCain served in 'army'
I need to file this datum before it leaves my gray matter for the shores of Tripoli. The other day on Hardball, they were talking about the biggest general election moments, and Howard Fineman of Newsweek said something very smart about the biggest moment being when Obama showed up at the first debate and showed he was presidential. End of story. Smart. In the course of his comments, though, Fineman also said that John McCain had served in "the army." I find this stupendous. Famously the son of

Is Meg Whitman, the former CEO of eBay and ardent supporter of John McCain during the election, gearing up for a run for California governor in 2010? Quite possibly, as the billionaire resigned from three corporate boards on Monday. Whitman’s spokesman, Henry Gomez, said she stepped down from the boards of eBay, Procter & Gamble Co. [...]
Building the World State VII. New World Order Remapping the Middle East? A Spy Story
Strange things are going on after the terror attacks in Bombay/Mumbai. Threats about a new war between Pakistan and India are heard on a daily basis. But what is really going on – and does it have implications for us Europeans? Reuters 2 Dec, 2008: “The panel, the Commission on the Prevention of Weapons of Mass Destruction mandated by the U.S. Congress, singled out Pakistan as a grave concern. The Hindu Dec. 7, 2008: ISLAMABAD: United States Senator John McCain has said if Pakistan did not
Will Meg Whitman Be The Next Governor Of California?
After picking the wrong horse in the Presidential Election (where she might have become Secretary of the Treasury if John McCain had won), former eBay CEO Meg Whitman now looks to be laying the groundwork for a run at the governorship in California in 2010. (The current Governator, Arnold Schwarzenegger, cannot run for another term under existing laws). Whitman today resigned from all the corporate boards she serves on—eBay, Procter & Gamble, and Dreamworks Animation. While she hasn’t formall
