I just posted earlier about spring weather approaching, and that means spring storms. Well those storms came ripping right through Texas today. At 5:00 o’clock during evening rush hour, the Dallas Fort Worth area had the following watches and warnings from the NOAA National Weather Service:

ADVISORY: Flood Watch In Effect Through Friday


At 3:24pm Monday Jan. 5th, the National Weather Service issued the following Flood Watch Advisory: … Flood Watch in effect from Tuesday evening through Friday afternoon… Rain will fall over western Washington beginning Tuesday afternoon and continuing into Thursday. The National Weather Service in Seattle issued a Winter Weather Advisory at 3 p.m. that will last until 9 p.m. An approaching Pacific storm has brought light snow to South Sound, and forecasters say as much as 1-3 inches could fall before it changes over to rain. The Weather Service warns drivers to be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility.

Snow begun to fall in Tacoma and for most of Western Washington, but don't worry, it will turn to rain shortly. Jeff Michalski of the National Weather Service in Seattle said winds should shift direction, bringing warmer air in, which will turn the snow to rain and whatever accumulates on the ground will melt away by morning.
