It’s a worthwhile seven minutes to listen; as a founder of the Motown sound, a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Robinson shares his views on success.

Danah Boyd on Google Buzz

So is WordPress creating a new set of design conventions that designers feel obliged to follow? Are CMS tools making web designers lose creative focus, making them lazy?

South By Southwest

There’s a number of great tips and videos about the South By Southwest Interactive Conference happening in Austin.

SXSW grows larger each year, with hundreds of panels and parties, plus the 13th Annual Web Awards, the ScreenBurn at SXSW Arcade, the Film and Interactive Trade Show and Exhibition, and also the Microsoft BizSpark Accelerator.

Gotta see it now because Interactive is over after the 16th, with Film running through the 20th, and Music lasting through the 21st.

Tips: travel light, say hello, introduce yourself and connect with people. Pick 2 or 3 “must-see” events, then just browse the conference and relax. Too many things are happening to try to do everything, so pace yourself.

The Film bodyofwar.com: Body of War is a documentary by Ellen Spiro and Phil Donahue. This hard hitting documentary will be screened March 13th at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas and opens in select theaters nationwide in March.
