A flash flood watch is in effect for North Escambia from Tuesday afternoon through late Tuesday night, and forecasters say an approaching cold front could bring severe weather tonight. Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 a.m. by The Times-Picayune Monday January 05, 2009, 6:25 AM The New Orleans area is under a dense fog advisory this morning until around 9 a.m., when showers and thunderstorms are expected to intensify, according to the National Weather Service.
