Vancouver 2010: The Official Video Game of the Olympic Winter Games

Remember the POV or Point Of View cameras I described in my last post? They were being used in Vancouver at the Olympic Games by the skiiers and on the bobsled and luge. The POV cameras take you right into the action, just like you’re riding on those skis or sled.

The adrenalin rush of racing down the winter slopes of Whistler Mountain has been captured in Vancouver 2010: The Official Video Game of the Olympic Winter Games. Dude, it’s awesome!!

Extreme speed…winter sports…new challenge mode and control schemes…revamped online gameplay…Vancouver 2010 is in development by Eurocom and SEGA for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

CES 2010, the annual Consumer Electronics Show is underway in Las Vegas. CES is always interesting to see what new technology and products emerge. An amazing number of companies are on exhibit, almost 3000, with more than 20,000 new products on display.

The big day has arrived, and Black Friday has the Big Deals you’ve been shopping for!

If you’re shopping for electronics like I am, you’ll appreciate these shopping tips from Consumer Reports on the big items being sought after this holiday season. It’s always helpful to arm yourself with a little knowledge so you can avoid any buyer’s remorse later on. Scoping out the prices online can help narrow down the number of stores you actually have to shop at too.

If you’re looking for any of these items, chances are you can probably find a better price by comparison shopping at least two other stores.

The best deals online are really starting to happen now. Word has it that a lot of retailers are starting their online Black Friday sales early Thanksgiving morning at 1:00 A.M. I set up my Gmail account to get regular alerts about Black Friday sales and online deals, and I’m getting a lot of information about it now.

Here’s the latest…Best Buy appears to have the most items on sale early; their Black Friday items are going online for sale starting at midnight tonight (early Thanksgiving morning.) Other stores like Circuit City and Walmart will probably follow suit by putting their Black Friday items online and on sale starting very early on Thanksgiving morning and throughout Thanksgiving day, and right into Black Friday.

Best Buy has the great deals on Thanksgiving Day, starting at 5 am when their stores open…their ads say they will hand out doorbuster coupons, tickets and vouchers starting as early as 3:00 am!
