Time for change
It really was time for a change. I had been working the same job for eight long years without a real vacation. To make things worse, the company had “reorganized” over the last year, and started to heap more and more chores onto our team, adding to our daily tasks. At first it seemed OK, but then people began to quit. One or two at first, then a flood of staff fled the sinking ship. Then the firings began. Nothing made sense. General chaos ruled with major confusion the daily routine. I became a statistic, along with many others.
Our government says our economy is ok, but rumors run rampant of recession. Members of my own family are at economic disadvantage, as I too become “self-employed.” It is time for a change.
